Class 7 MOT
What is a Class 7 MOT Test?
A Class 7 MOT test is a mandatory annual inspection for commercial vehicles, vans, and goods vehicles weighing between 3,000kg and 3,500kg (gross weight). This test ensures your vehicle complies with DVSA safety and environmental regulations and remains road-legal.
What Vehicles Require a Class 7 MOT?
If your vehicle falls into any of the following categories and is over 3 years old, you are required to take an MOT test every year:
Commercial vans and goods vehicles (3,000kg – 3,500kg GVW)
Larger transit vans, pickups, and tippers
High-roof vans and long-wheelbase models
Heavy goods vehicles that do not require an HGV test
